Upper urinary tract fibroepithelial polyp is a rare benign pathology of the upper urinary tract that can mimic malignancy.[1][2]

General
- Presentation may include: hematuria, flank pain, urinary frequency.[2]
Gross
- Classically proximal ureter.[3]

- Polypoid lesion (epithelium on three sides in plane-of-section) covered unremarkable urothelium.

A. Right Ureter, Lesion, Resection: - Benign urothelial fibroepithelial polyp with focal hemosiderin. - NEGATIVE for malignancy.
Micro
The sections shows a polypoid lesion covered by a thin urothelium. The urothelium has an unremarkable appearance; all of the following are absent: anisonucleosis, apparent proliferation, lack of maturation. The core of the lesion is fibrous and edematous. Hemosiderin and siderophages are present.
