Hydronephrosis is swelling of the kidney.
Causes:
- Obstruction due to aberrant artery (Dietl's crisis).
- Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones).
- Nodular hyperplasia of the prostate gland.
- Obstruction due to a malignancy.
- Urothelial carcinoma.
- Prostatic carcinoma.
- Other cancers.
