A simple prostatectomy is done when a TURP is not feasible.

Prostatectomy (not otherwise specified) usually refers to the radical prostatectomy.

Introduction

These specimens are very rare.

Specimen opening

  • Orient specimen (if possible).
  • Ink external surface of specimen.
  • Section perpendicular to the urethra.
