Total mesorectal excision, abbreviated TME. is the standard in rectal surgery.

General

  • Resection of the rectum and (complete) mesorectum to the pelvic floor.

Gross

  • Rectum - anterior view. (WC)

  • Rectum - lateral view. (WC)

  • Rectum - inked. (WC)

  • Rectum - opened (WC)
