Hemangioblastoma of the kidney is a rare kidney tumour.

General

Very rare.
May be associated with Von Hippel-Lindau disease.^[1]

Microscopic

Features:^[1]

Polygonal cells with clear cytoplasm.

DDx:

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
Other kidney lesions with clear cells.

IHC

Features:^[1]

S100 +ve (diffuse).
Alpha-inhibin +ve.
NSE +ve.
Vimentin +ve.
PAX-8 +ve.

EMA -ve.
AE1/AE3 focal +ve.
CA9 -ve.
CD10 -ve
CD117 -ve
Melan A -ve.
CK7 -ve.
