Sustainable pathology, also green pathology, is the practice of pathology in a manner that has minimal adverse environmental impact.

Background

The Lancet has described climate change as "the biggest global health threat of the 21st century".[1] Healthcare is estimated to account for 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions.[2] The magazine The Pathologist describes the need for "green" labs.[3]
